Wh - Questions
الاسئلة الاستفهامية
Wh- Questions allow a speaker to find out more information about topics. They are as follows
الاسئلة الاستفهامية تمكن المتكلم من ايجاد معلومات اكثر عن الاشياء والمواضيع وهي كالتالي

للسؤال عن مكان Place

The "grammar" used with wh- questions depends on whether the topic being asked about is the "subject" or "predicate" of a sentence. For the subject pattern, simply replace the person or thing being asked about with the appropriate wh-word
القواعد المستعملة مع الاسئلة الاستفهامية تعتمد على الشيء المراد السؤال عنه هل هو مبتدا او خبر الجملة .للسؤال عن المبتدا ببساطة نقوم باستبدال الشخص او الشيء المراد السؤال عنه باداة الاستفهام المناسبة
(Someone has my baseball)

شخص ما اخذ كرتي البيسبول
من اخذ كرتك البيسبول؟

For the predicate pattern, wh- question formation depends on whether there is an "auxiliary" verb in the original sentence. Auxiliary or "helping" verbs are verbs that precede main verbs. Auxiliary verbs are italicized in the following sentences
اما نموذج الخبر تكوين الاسئلة الاستفهامية يعتمد هل يوجد فعل مساعد ام لا في الجملة الاصلية .الافعال المساعدة هي افعال تسبق الفعل الاساسي .الافعال المساعدة مكتوبة بالخط المائل في الجمل التالية
. I can do it
. They are leaving
. I have eaten my lunch
. I should have finished my homework

To make a question using the predicate pattern, first form a yes/no question by inverting the subject and (first) auxiliary verb. Then, add the appropriate wh- word to the beginning of the sentence
لعمل اسئلة عن الجملة الخبرية .اولا اعملي سؤال من نوع نعم او لا بعكس المبتدا والفعل المساعد ثم اضيفي الى بداية الجملة كلمة الاستفهام المناسبة
(. You will leave some time )
will you leave?
?When will you leave

is he doing?
? What is he doing

(They have been somewhere)

If there is no auxiliary and the verb is "be," invert the subject and verb, then add the appropriate wh- word to the beginning of the sentence
اخواتي اذا لم يكن هناك فعل مساعد والفعل هو be اعكسي المبتدا والفعل be ثم اضيفي الكلمة الاستفهامية المناسبة في اول الجملة .
(He is someone.)
is he?
? Who is he

was the meeting?
? When was the meeting

If there is no auxiliary and the verb is not "be," add do to the beginning of the sentence. Then add the appropriate wh-question word. Be sure to "transfer" the tense and number from the main verb to the word do.
الملاحظة الاخيرة على الاسئلة الاستفهامية :اذا لم يكن هناك فعل مساعد والفعل ليس be اضيفي do في بداية الجملة ثم اضيفي الكلمة الاستفهامية المناسبة .ولكن تاكدي في هذه الحالة ان تنقلي زمن الفعل وعدده من الفعل الاساسي الى DO .

1. When your partner tells you something about himself/herself, say "Really?" and ask a related question.
عندما يخبرك نفسه او نفسها شيئا قولي حقا ؟ واسالي سؤال متعلق لتحصلي على معلومات اكثر

2. When your partner tells you something, say "Really?" then make a related statement
الحالة الثانية اذا اخبرك شيئا قولي حقا ؟وبعدها قولي افادة او شيء لة علاقة بالموضوع

For example,
مثلا:

I'm from Ireland.
انا من ايرلندا

Oh really? My grandfather is Irish
حقا ؟ جدي ايرلندي

I live in Tokyo
اعيش في طوكيو

3. Ask wh- questions to find out information about your partner. Then respond to the information.
اسالوا اسئلة استفهامية للحصول على معلومات عن الشخص ثم علقوا
على على هذه المعلومات
